Hi all,

I've just gone into the Relationships diagram and discovered that one of my tables is off the page! (see picture).
Dont know how this happened although I have noticed that Access has a habit of moving the table around the diagram after being in Design mode.

Anyone else had this problem? How do I get the table back onto the page?

Many thanks in advance...

RE;Table is off the Relationships page!?

have you tried using the vertical \ horizontal scroll bars ?
If you find the missing table click onthe table header and drag it till it is next to your other tables

The scroll bars do not allow me to display the table as they are already set to the edge, of what it thinks is the diagram - but its not the edge! Because my table is off it!

Do you mean the table between tblClient and tblContactTitle?

Yes SJ. Its the 'Contact' table .

btw, Im using Access 2000 on Win2k.

that happened to me a long time ago. (i only mention it to show that it has happened before and seems to be a real glitch, albeit unusual). i don't remember exactly how i fixed it (then what good are ya?!?!?), but, i would try deleting the relationships and adding the table again. no promises. good luck. :p

Fixed..

Well, for posterity and possible future searches by another frustrated Access beginner (like myself) heres how I fixed it..

To get my Contact table back onto the diagram, I had to:
  1. delete the relationships to it
  2. copy and paste it with a different name (from the main database window)
  3. delete the original table itself - which I guess then deleted it from the diagram since a table with that name no longer existed.
  4. rename the copy to the original table name
  5. Add it back onto the diagram
  6. re-instate the relationships
I think that had I simply re-added the table it would have suffixed it with "_1" as the table already existed on the diagram (even though I couldnt see it!)
