Hello

I set up my tabs at the very top of the Detail section. In design view I can see the tabs but when I open the form I can't see the tabs. (Within the Tabs I have placed sub Forms, and when the Tabbed Parent form opens it just displays the contents of the child form... NOT the tabs from the parent Form)

Infact I can't even see what I put in the Header section of the Parent form.

How can I make the Tabs appear? How can I get my stuff in the Header section to appear?

Thanks very much.

When you place your tab control on the form you need to drag it out to cover the area of the form that will be changed as you click through the tabs.

Hello

I figured it out. The Tab control itself was too long (Long enough for Access not to be able to show it all without scrolling down). So when the form opened Access scrolled down to accomodate as much of the Tab control on the screen. Once I made the length of the tab control shorter to fit on the whole screen I saw the tab.

Also about the Header.... I realized that I was using the Page header. The Form header does appear. Which makes me confused as to what the Page header on a form is for if it doesn't even appear in Form View.

Figured out what the Page header is for. It only appears when you print forms. It doesn't show up on the screen. Which makes me ask .... who Prints Forms? Isn't it always better to make a report?

Normally, yes it's better to make a report. However, for some people they want to print the record that is showing in the form that they have. I never do this, but there are some that do.
