A Danish artist given KSh 9.2 million by a museum to use in an artwork delivered an unexpected piece.
Jens Haaning was given the money by the Museum of Modern Art in Denmark and delivered to black canvases.

He aptly titled the two canvases "Take the Money and Run."

However, when Haaning delivered the piece, the museum established that the money had not been put into the work.

The direct recalled receiving numerous emails after the piece was delivered.

"The staff was very surprised when they opened the crates. I was abroad when the crates were opened, but suddenly received a lot of mails," Andersson said.
Andersson added that Hanning had not broken their contractual agreement, which stipulated that the money be returned by January 16, 2020.

Should the artist fail to return the money by the date as mentioned above, the director said:

“We will of course take the necessary steps to ensure that Jens Haaning complies with his contract."

people are calling anything artwork nowadays steve. i was recently at an art show to help sell pottery and the woman next to us was selling cookies! since when are cookies a form of art!?

We took my mother to a museum in Palm Springs Calif a few years back, one exhibit was three full trash bags on a platform in a room by its self. I literally walked right past it, my wife calls me over to have a closer look. These are three trash bags mind you but not just any trash bags these are Andy Warhol's trash bags  My mom who was in her 80's at the time was really confused.

Have you ever watched the Cooking Channel when they have those pastry-chef battles? Some of those cookies ARE a form of art.

I found out something I never would have known - about 7 years ago. I love art galleries. Not the dumb ones, but the ones that show, like, scenery and stuff like that. Or sometimes people - but the majority of those get weird. When our budget was smaller and living in AZ, California was our often destination. Have gone a couple times to carmel by the sea and really enjoyed it. Yes, it's all fudge shops, expensive stuff and art galleries. I'm not a buyer, though, just a looker. They realize that right after I walk through the door with Wrangler cargo shorts and we come to an immediate unspoken understanding: I won't waste your time, you won't humiliate me! Then I browse unmolested for an hour - really amazing stuff! They transport me away when I look at some of those paintings. Then the city apparently voted to have no street lights, they like their natural darkness. Every hotel in town is a 'local' one you've never heard of - no chains. To find something I could afford I had to go a 30 min drive away but I enjoyed the trips anyway.

My daughter works for Nordstroms and sometimes we'll stroll thru to have a look at their $125.00 T-shirts. Usually, there will be a couple of trendy-looking salespeople dressed in all black looking very unhappy. We will never be asked for help because quite frankly we are invisible. I do however wear some Nordstroms items bought by my daughter with her discount and on her dime, and yes they do notice her for some strange reason
