Hya,

I'm using the Order Entry Template that Access has. For me this is all I need. Here in the UK we charge 17.5% VAT tax on everything. I can put the Tax on the Subtotal (as it is done by the template), but I want to add it to FreightCharge too. I bet this is something really obvious and easy, but I just can't see it. I tried adding it to the FreightCharge, but it only works to it and not for the Subtotal.... :(
Please help.....

Bloody templates. :p I mean, at not making things easier.

Click Design View of the form. If you goto the properties of the Sales Tax text box, you'll see =CLng([Order Subtotal]*[SalesTaxRate]*100)/100 in the Control Source. See how it is computing Sales Tax? Now go check the properties of Freight Charge. It's Control Source is just FreightCharge. To get your desired outcome, you can make a similar expression to Freight Charge's Control Source. Understand? Any more questions? :)

The template doesn't have it setup to calculate tax to Freight Charge because it is something you enter in manually, right?
