text expression

i have a master table with various lookup feilds. i want to create a querie that creates a text expression feild called description and it is based on the info provided in the lookup feild. problem is when i create this querie from the location master it provides the id's from the lookup colums and not their text.

How do I fix this to specify each table

Description: [level] & " " & [room] & " " & IIf(IsNull([direction]),[location],[direction] & " " & [location] & " " & [fixture] & " " & [note])

OK! You lost me on that one. Is Description: a field in a query? What does "imported every table to the querie" mean? Are you trying to say that every [field] in the Description [field] is from a different table?

What does "imported every table to the querie" mean?
it means display the sourse tables of the look up colums

the look up colums are all summed together to make the text expression in the feild: DESCRIPTION
