Text Field Edit-Highlighting

I have form with a continuous sub form. Basically what happens is that continuous form gets populated with names from outlook. This works fine. The problem is that somtimes I need to change the name and when I click in the field the whole thing gets highlighted causing me to delete all content and re enter.

What I would like to do is have it so I can click in the field and highlight a certain part and edit instead of having to delete the whole field and re enter.

Any suggestions.

Which version of Access are you using? I can't seem to replicate your problem. Whenever I click in a bound field in a text box it puts my cursor where I clicked and doesn't highlight the whole entry.

Try the database setting:

Look under Access Options > Advanced > Behaviour entering field

In Access 2007, click on the Big Round Office Button, select ACCESS OPTIONS and then ADVANCED. Change the BEHAVIOR ENTERING FIELD from SELECT ENTIRE FIELD to GO TO START OF FIELD.
