Text formatting problem

I have a query... which holds say field 1 and field 2... when I put it in a report though I want field 1 to be normal text and field 2 to be underlined text.... That is no problem but actually what I want are the two fields to run along next to each other to make up a paragraph... and the only way I can do see to do this is to go back to the query and have field3:[field 1]&[field2] but this means that I cannot have field 2 underlined....

Am I doing something wrong... or is it not possible to do what I am asking?

Access doesn't support variable formatting per se. Although there's code around to emulate it your best option is a third party add in. Rich Text Control is one of them
