Text highlighted in a difficult manner

I have a text box on a form that holds the date in UK format, e.g. 25/12/2012. The date defaults to the first of the month but can be altered.
If I click in the text box all the text from the insertion point to the right hand end is highlighted, it is not possible to highlight and change the month (e.g. 12) without highlighting the year as well. Can this awkward behaviour be changed?

Go to the Access Options and under there look for the Behaviour Entering Field property. You will see three options that you can select, i.e. "Select entire field", "Go to start of field" and "Go to end of field".

Hi vbaInet, I've experimented with that setting but I didn't think it was what I wanted. I now see that if I pick "Select entire field" I can then click in the middle of the text and the rest of the highlighting disappears allowing me to highlight and change only the month.
