I've been working on something I used a lot at work to help me more easily decipher complex text inputs. For the Navy, I used this as a part of a program to analyze IIS logs, decode complex names, and I even once used a variant of this under OpenVMS to build a command-line calculator for the DCL scripting language. I make no claims of perfection but I have tested MOST of this. I included some documentation on how to use it. The ZIP file contains a WORD document and the .CLS file that you would import into Access via the VBA window's File/Import operation. Lots of disclaimers, but if it helps anyone, great!
