Hello all,

I have posted this question in the Forms sub forum as well, but was directed here to seek better help.

I am currently using Access 2007.

I have a form that allows users to edit the records which they've entered using the same user account that was assigned. When the user attempts to edit a specific field that was previously populated with data, the field wipes itself and is immediately replaced by only the additional information that the user is appending to that field.

Pressing Undo seems to remedy the situation - the data comes back, and all the other fields are somewhat 'activated' to not wipe whenever the user attempts to add or edit it.

I was told that this is an Access configuration. Does anyone have any clue which option to change?

Thanks in advance.

Did you search Help like I suggested in the other post.

I did and I found..................

After you click the Office Button

, you can see the new location where you can set your preferences, such as your preferences for specific view, display, and editing settings. The Options command, that was on the Tools menu, was moved to be under the Office Button

.
The new location for the Options command is in the lower-right corner under Word Options, Excel Options, PowerPoint Options, or Access Options.

I think it is amazing. Help that is.

Hi,

I am completely aware where the 'Access Options' button is. However, I am actually asking for the exact option or configuration to change to make the form not behave the way it does now.

Does anyone else have any idea?

The solution is in the Key behaviour on entry.
