The "Lockdown* is making People Techy so relax a little folks.

Enforce on yourself the half an hour rule, before posting to a thread/person that's pissed you off!

Maybe even wait longer even to the next day, before responding.

Hopefully the impulse to come back at it will go completely, and you won't inflame the situation.

I'm not immune, I find the stupidest things irritate me like someone parking in a parking space next to the the trolley park at Tesco's. I was returning my trolley, I was going to go through the empty space and some person parked in there and I had to go round about 4 cars to get to the trolley station ....

No one is as bad as they seem, it's just the situation we find ourselves in...

Is "techy" a UK-ism? In the USA we would say "touchy" to match the description you gave.

In the Deep South we would say "teched" (in the context of "teched in the haid" - and that has to be said with a Deep South accent) for folks who "aren't quite right." We would also say "twitchy" with the same meaning as "touchy."

Maybe, maybe not ...

but more often spelt [and pronounced] 'tetchy'.

Not to be confused with 'techy'/'techie', (eg IT staff and the like) who may or may not be tetchy!

I thought it was a typo too. After looking up its origins and meaning, I got this

bad-tempered and irritable
late 16th century: probably from a variant of Scots tache ‘blotch, fault’, from Old French teche .

I hadn't realised it was the same as Techy, as in an IT person...

Obviously one of those words with many different meanings.

So that means you could say the Techy was Techy... They usually are!

The other "techy" is techie if it's a noun. I have no idea if there is a verb or adjective version of that word.

Having all of those similar works is a bit tacky.
