 Forgive my gibberish
I have recently converted my database over to 2000

I have started getting an error message.

"The search key was not found in any record "

I have a master form linked to a table and an imbedded subform with child links to the master. It has been running fine until the update to 2000.
Quick rundown on how it works, quite simple really.
Enter drill Hole records into the main form which there can only be one record for each drill hole. Then in the subform enter the samples for this drill hole, there can be many, works great! They both save to different tables.

After entering data into the master form
the current record changed to a heap of small squares and dashes, the date format changed to show a time format.

this has happend to few different records

I can't access these corrupt records any more and if I try to re-enter the data in the master form for the same drill hole I get the error message The search key was not found in any record and if I try to re-enter it directly into the main table I get a duplicate record error even though the record is it's gibberish.

I can't search or delete the records from the form or main table.
The samples for the drill hole(entered into the subform) are still OK.

please help me
Does this spell disaster
