Although I am sure I haven't tried everything because I haven't tried the one that works, I cannot seem to accurately search a subform from a mainform.
this is the picture.
I have a form with companies and the companies have designers, and designers have clients and on the company form I list all the clients regardless of designer. I click on a client and in theory it is suppose to go to the right designer and client.
If I put the list in the client subform it works like a charm, but when I put the list on the main form (company form) The office assistant laughs at me.
I have tried various approaches and it no matter how I try to give the focus to the subform (which works fine) it doesn't go to the correct record.
I can see the field I want to have the focus on the subform highlighted yet the "cursor" never actually goes to the subform, which in turn only gives me the illussion that the subform has the focus.
As I stated, the searching seemed to work fine as long as the list was on the subform it was searching. I have run out of hair to pull.
Any help (bullets for my gun perhaps?) would be appreciated.
