I have a form called frmFinanceProposal

on the form is a sub form called "frmFinanceProposalDialogue1"

The main form refers to my subform as "Child845"

On the subform I have a combo box that I am trying to set a filter on in the design grid of the row source

I have tried nunerous options to refer back to another combo box on the same sub form, but am getting no joy in forcing the filter

I have tried

Me!Combo57

Me.Combo57

Forms!frmFinanceProposal!Child845!Combo57

etc etc

Pls help!!!!!

Try replacing "Child845" with "frmFinanceProposalDialogue1".
This might work.

For one, you should rename the subform control (not the subform itself) to something more logical. But, here's the syntax for referring to the control on the subform:

Code:
Forms!frmFinanceProposal.Child845.Form.Combo57.Requery
