Time format question

This is probably a dumb question but is it possible to change the processing or layout of a text box field so that when you put in 1:30 it automatically sets it as 1:30 PM instead of 1:30 AM. For the purpose of this application: 12:00 - 8:00 will always be PM.

If not I can just tell the user to enter time as military then it will set it correctly.

You can do it for a form through code. But I think that providing military time is the better option - unless you allow them to enter the PM or AM designation directly.
