Time Stamping Appended Record

I would like to date stamp the records added in an append query with the value of the previous month to the one currently in. For example if it were march 2003 i would like the date stamp to be "February 2003" in that format. I am assuming the solution would take into account the year also. Therefore if it were january 2003 the stamp would show "December 2002" If anybody could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Presuming that you have a field called DateStamp or something.

If you are basing it off the system date (ie if run today it would show todays date!) then:

DateStamp: Format(DateAdd("m",-1,Date()), "mmm-yy") {Or whatever format you want it in}

If you are taking the date from an existing field in the table then replace Date() with the name of the field.
