yes tech, I am. doesn't it ship with vb6? or visual studio? I don't have either. all I have is office stuff.

AFAIK, VBA uses it for the object browser. It might not get installed with the Access runtime since you can't get to the VBA edit in it.

I didn't say anything about runtime, tech.

just asked for the location in windows of the file.

there is a typelibinformation references in the refs, but I only saw it when I manually downloaded the file from an external website that offered it for win32.

The Access runtime is part of the MS Office apps and you did post in an Access forum.
