I hope this makes sense.
I have a Report Based on a query.
The query is based on the estimator, and a Date Range.
The Report has the Estimator, Project Name, Bid Date, Bid Amount, Award Date & Award Amount. The Report then Calculates the Total Bids, and the Total Awards, divides the Awards by the Bids for a Hit Rate Percentage. The problem is that a bid may be forwarded to several contractors for the same project, however only one contractor can award the project. This is producing incorrect results. Example $1,000,000.00 x 15 Contractors totals $15,000,000.00, this is needed to track where the bids were sent; however this does not mean the estimator bid $15,000,000. In addition if the estimator is awarded this bid the hit rate percentage should be 100%, however the current results are 6%. How can I filter out the duplicates? The duplicates are a necessary part of tracking in other reports so the duplicate entries must remain. Thank You in advance for your help, I have a limited amount of knowledge on Access and lost on code issues.
