Too Complex error...sporadic?

I don't know if this is the correct forum for this question or not, since I'm not really sure what's causing Access to throw this error in the first place...

I have a form where the user chooses a Company, and then a Store from within that Company. The user can then click on buttons to generate whatever reports desired for that Store.

I have 23 stores that we are running reports for...the same 2 reports for all 23 stores. 8 of the stores cannot generate one of the reports...we get a "Too complex" error. The other 15 stores generated just fine.

Any ideas?

This particular report is based on 2 queries: 1 of the queries merely generates the page count (the report is grouped in the header by the aisle that the products are on), so I can't imagine this is the offending query.

The other query pulls information from 8 different tables to bring it all together in 1 place for the report. I've tried to run that query independently of the form, and for those 8 stores it stops and gives me the same error, but I have no idea where to begin to look.

I have already checked to be sure that every product is assigned to an aisle, in case that's the problem I'm not finding any that aren't.

Can someone please help me to get pointed in the right direction? These reports have to be delivered to the stores on Saturday.

Thank you so much.

Marcie

If you doing some calculation in the query, then check for null values!
Also check if your are storing numbers in text field type.
Make a copy of the query and start removing fields from the query until you find which one giving the error.
