I believe i have too many forms in my Access 2007 Application. Currently performing the “basic” migration to SQL i noticed that an open form “pulls” a lot of “power”... Where can i find some good examples of forms used for multiple purposes, “applets”..
One example: I want to use one form that displays multiple records on the upper half and the related single record in the bottom half (related by the record selector). The single record should be editable and will contain more controls then the related record in the upper half...
Thanks!

This is called a split form and is available already within your database if you have 2007 or above. You can set the datasheet (the part with multiple records) to be on top (the default is on the bottom - don't know why MS did it that way as it really makes no sense). See here for instructions on how to make the split form.

Also there is the datapig website which will have a number of online examples which will deal with subforms
Trevor - The OP is not talking about subforms. They want a SPLIT FORM (new to 2007 and 2010).

Much appriciated Trevor...

:-) hope this will decrease the number of forms with 50%

Thanks!
