I can't create a Total in my Subform.
The Subform is reading from a table and when I enter my sum Calculation (=sum([Quantity]*[Price]) both in the table)

It pulls back a #Error in this box

If I point this Subform to a Query then I am able to calculate this Value, But I am not able to enter a new row into the subform which is what I need to do?

Any ideas why.

EDIT - that wont work, I'll have another think

Double check the Name property of both [Quantity] and [Price] on the properties sheet. Make sure that you haven't got them called something else.

Your formula should be in the ControlSource property and should look exactly like...

=Sum([Quantity]*[Price])

Thanks all
I was able to Resolve it Deleting the Field and adding a new one and re-entering a the Formula.

Strange as the Old Box looked to have the same formula.
