Total on report

Hi,
I have a report which gives me a count of records found for each group

group 1 - 10
group 2 - 13
group 4 - 82

what i want is a total below this - ive looked at calculated controls however cant seem to get it what soever - ive tried likes of =sum([counts])

any help would be fab

That should work, if that's a field name. Where do you have it? It can't be in the page footer.
