Hi There People,

This is my first post on this forum.

I have been working on a project (Using Access 2000) for a Textile exporting company - Ething works fine except for one kind of Report that i am having problems with - The report will show the Stock in hand.It is simple up till this point - but i want the user to have the option of selecting a time period - From and To date -

So i grouped the records by Item.

But if the user selects a date i should have the Balance of fabric from the previous Dates (Where Item.date < #Date#).

Then i can use this info to add the total on the report to get the total stock in hand.

I have tried everything i know DSum, DLookup etc. But Access seems to ignore the date and still report the total Items.

Can Anyone help.

Bert.

Hi there

Two points which might be helpful:

1. Make sure you use US date format (mm/dd/yy) in your query. Use the Format function if necessary.

2. Don't use the name 'Date' for your input date as this is the name of an Access function.

Hi there,

Thankyou Shay for your reply - and yesy you are right - Funnily Access only accepts criteria for dates in that format.

Thanks again.

Bert.
