Totalling fields (1 Viewer)

I am trying to total 40 fields into a label at the end of a line on a report.
If i try and type =[field1]&[field2]&etc into the label all that it does is put the values next to each other and if i replace the & sign with a + then nothing appears.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Use + on a text box not a label.

Also, 40 fields seems excessive, are they in one table.

What is your table storing.
