I am working on an asset management database. As part of this my employer wants me to add a facility to total the number of specific asset types within the company.
The asset type will be chosen from a form, on selecting the asset type the user will then click a button to launch the query and return the result.
(Perhaps as an alert on screen?)
What I need to know is how I go about writing a query that will total each successful match on a particular asset type?
