totals in forms hlp plz

Hi

i have recently created a purchase order database and it runs great until i came to doing a report.


the report lists Qty, Description, Unit Price, Total Price. The total is qty* unit price and this displays ok using =[Unit Price]*[Quantity]

but when i try to total the total prices in the footer i get #error, i used =Sum([totalprice])

What am i doing wrong

try =sum([Unit Price]*[Quantity]) and put it in the report or group footer.
 
Sorry does'nt work get the same #error
 
Base your report on the same Query that you based your Form on and then in the query put
Code:
ExtPrice:[Quanity]*[Unit Price]

Now in both your report and your form you will be able to "Sum" the extTotal.

Attached is a sample that will show you how (try doing it yourself first) and also show you how to have the total only appear in the footer of the last page. Looks better that putting it in the report footer.
