Touch Pad Win 7

Every once in a while my touch pad doesn't work. I have to get out my wireless mouse and go into the mouse properties/device settings and click enable this device.
Toshiba / running Win 7
device: synapties touchpad V7.a
Anybody have any idea what is doing that?

Have you tried looking to see if you have the latest driver? You can find them here:
