When I use the some code on an Access 2003 installed machine it produces the old 'send/don't send - sorry for the inconvenience but we have experienced a problem message from microsoft' (the one that started coming with XP). The code is a simple transferdatabase for a progress db via odbc and it works on the Access 97 machine. We are upgrading so i need this to work, is it the computer timing out? The built in progress bar (bottom left) reaches full capacity after about 1 minute then the error occurs, with 97 it reaches full capacity also after 1 minute but then continues to plod along for a few more before finally importing a rather large table. My only alternative is to use ISAM importing or link!

I know when ive come across similar posts and problems myself, people always suggest re-selecting your references incase one of them is broken.

Write them down, then unselect all you can, close the dialog box, close access then go back in and select them.

I know this sounds a cop out answer but it has worked for me in the past when i thought this would be the last thing that would fix it.
