Transferring value from Combo box on main form to subform problem

Hello all,

I'm a bit rusty with access, and i can't find a discussion on this board to help.

I have two combo boxes on the main form which i want to transfer the value in column one in each of them (an autonumber) to two text boxes on the subform.

I have tried to do this by using the combo boxes as the control source for the text boxes but this doesn't work.

I have attached the database if anyone can help.

The form is frmAlertsAM, the two combo boxes are cboGroup and cboStation, and the text boxes on the subform are txtGroupID and txtStationID.

I intend to use the form for viewing and data entry.

What you have done works fine.

The reason it appears not to be working is because, you have not refreshed the form after the combo is changed.

If you put a Refresh command in your After Update event for both combo boxes, it should work fine. You'll also need to change the source for the second Text box to =[Forms]![frmAlertsAM]![cboStation]
