I've been requested to design a tricky report. I'll try to be clear on this,
The report fields are the following:
Purchase Order, Date, Floor, Room, Item, Product, Product Description, Photograph.
The Report is ordered by the Purchase Field, Date Field, Floor Field, Room Field.
( In Significance Order )
The problem, is how to define every item. Im not sure if this is a configuration issue or if i have to design a VB module to handle this. But anyhow, it should give a number to each product. Lets say the user has entered products in a first floor and others in a second floor, lets also say this user has given to some products the "Kitchen" area, and others the "Office" area.
Then, my report should match with the following.
PURCHASE ORDER 0001:
Date 2/4/08
Floor: First Floor
Area: Kitchen
1.1.1 Vectra Armchair, Red egyptian silk, *photo*
1.1.2 Vectra Round Table, Round..., *Photo*
Area: Office
1.2.1 Vectra Armchair, blue silk, *photo*
Floor: Second Floor
Area: Kitchen
2.1.1 Vectra Armchair, Green egyptian silk, *photo*
2.1.2 Vectra Round Table, Round..., *Photo*
Area: Office
2.2.1 Vectra Armchair, Grey silk, *photo*
As you can see, What im needing is a number which defines the floor entry number, the area entry number and the product entry number (FLOOR.AREA.PRODUCT) The number has nothing to do with the floor number, a product in a fourth floor could be labeled 1.2.1 if its the only floor my purchase order is talking about.
In other words i need a VB code that is able to discriminate wich item number on the form a product is unless access has this possibility somewhere to configure. Any ideas ?
