Considering this is my first attempt with a database I think I am coming along pretty well. I added the "Cool Search Tool" and after about 20 hours of playing with it I think I got it working. There is a few things I want to do that I cant seem to figure out though.

Locking the Form:
Not so much as locking the form but more like the bottom text boxes. When a contract is clicked on I want the data to show up on the bottom but I don't want the user to be able to change the data. I plan to set up seperate forms for all of that in the future.

Showing Data:
I noticed that if I don't have anything in the Customer, Administrator or Contractor fields in the Contracts table then the contract wont show up in the forms list box. Have no clue why this would be happening.

Form List Table Titles: In the list form I noticed on the non unique field names that it shows the whole path (eg Administrators.Administrator). Is there anyway I can make a different label?

Thanks as always! Think I am finally starting to get the hang of this (kinda).

Permanent lock...just dont want people people to be copying info out into something else and accidently deleting the data. Edits will be made through another form.

Or just set the form's AllowEdits property to NO.

EDIT: And perhaps the AllowDeletions property to NO too.

This seems to take the usablility of the search function out and I cant click to view anythinything anymore.

Yep, then you would need to use Tony's method. Set each control's LOCKED property to YES.
