trouble w/ Yes/No check box not displaying Yes or No

I have an Option Group object with "Yes" and "No" check boxes that automatically produce a value of 1 or 2 for the Option Group frame that they are in.

The control source for the Option Group frame is [Support Required].

How can I get the Option Group to place "Yes" or "No" in the [Support Required] field instead of the given 1 or 2 values ?

If the only options available are Yes/No it seems more natural to have a checkbox bound to a Boolean field in the table. This would work with no 'fiddling'.

Must you use an option group?

No, I do not believe it has to be an Option Group, but I'm not very familiar with Boolean and I could easily set up the Option Group to remain independently checked/unchecked, specific to each record.

I'd happily take another route.

Boolean is simply programming terminology for the simplest type of data, it either IS or ISN'T as in...

YES or NO
ON or OFF
TRUE or FALSE

The problem could be solved by a Boolean field which is simply a Yes/No field in your table, these field are automatically assigned as check boxes and you can change how the value is displayed in the table as per the options above.
