Trouble with record source

I'm having trouble with a form. I have a query pulling together info from a few table to display on my form. The problem is that when I look at it in Form View, the detail section is completely empty. I don't just have blank fields; none of the fields and controls are visible. If I change the record source to any of the tables the query is based on, everything shows up just fine. Everything is set to Visible, so I don't really know what the problem could be. Any ideas?

Sometimes if the recordset is empty you won't see anything.
