Truncating Text

I have a field called "Office." The data looks like this:

STAFF/HR/Finance
DIR/OHD/Training
etc.

I am building a report where all I need to display is the first item in the office string, such as STAFF or DIR.

Is there a way for me to tell the report to NOT print anything to the right of the first slash /?
