trying to type BALLANCE into text field

Have an odd problem that eludes me at the moment I have table with a text field for surnames and if I type the surname Ballance into the table it automatically reverts to Balance can see no logical explanation for this at the moment funnily it does exactly the same in excel

Do you have auto_correct (or something like that) turned on?

Leave Auto Correct on, actually. Just go to Tools -> AutoCorrect options, scroll down to where it's automatically replacing "Ballance" with "Balance" and delete that entry. That way, it will still catch obvious things like "teh" correcting to "the" and so on.

had looked through autocorrect and had missed ballance being there, sometimes the obvious is the easiest missed
