turn number values back to text in report!

I have a few option groups and combo boxes that store a number value for selected entires. The problem I have is that when I print out my reports I want to transfer those number values back to text. i.e.:

1 = blue
2 = red
3 = yellow

etc....

Does anyone know the best way to accomplish this? If this is not detailed enough please let me know and I will explain further in detail.
