I created a DB for clients of mine. The DB is flat using a some VBA to hide/show Memo fields. Here are my specs:
-----------------------------------------
Win 2k SP 3
Access XP (2002)
Default DB type Access 2002

Here are my Client specs (2 sets):
-----------------------------------------
Win XP Pro
Access XP (2002)

Win ME
Access 2000

The DB works fine here, but when I distributed it to my clients they reported receiving these errors. I asked for them to ZIp return the DB's to me for diagnostics. I was able to duplicate the error messages on theirs but not on mine.

Here are the two errors I get:

THE DATABASE .MDB NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED OR ISNT A DATABASE FILE.

YOU OR ANOTHER USER MAY HAVE UNEXPECTEDLY QUIT MICROSOFT ACCESS WHILE A MICROSOFT ACCESS DATABASE WAS OPEN.

DOU YOU WANT MICROSOFT ACCESS TO TRY AND REPAIR THE DATABASE?

After I have clicked on yes, the following error appears:

THE DATABASE .MDB CAN NOT BE REPAIRED OR ISNT A MICROSOFT ACCESS DATABASE FILE.

"The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."

There is only one person using the DB and only one copy is open.

I have checked post archives and used the referenced articles to MS's KnowledgeBase. Didn't work or not applicable.

Please advise....

Since it is a flat DB, with basic VBA code, try saving as a previous version, 2000, and distribute that.
