two tables...one form

I have two tables that overlap...that is, they contain some identical fields with identical data. How can I make my one form fill in both tables? Ex. Each table contains the ID#s for all my clients. Is there a way I can enter each ID into the form and have it filled in in both tables? Please, speak slowly, I'm ew at this!
