Unable to delete record in 2007. 2003 & 2010 OK.

I cannot delete a record in Access 2007 but I can in 2003 or 2010.

This screenshot shows how the Delete Record is grayed out.

This is a vanilla 2007 installation.

Any ideas why this is happening even if I am the only one opening the database?

Is the database somehow being open in read only mode?

Not to my knowledge. As I said this is a standard install of Access 2007 with no options changed.

If it was read-only why would the New Record be accessible?

Sorry, just a long shot thought. Only other things I could think of, which you probably already tried...If you have code, check to see if it is compiled in the vba window of the database version giving you the trouble. What about doing a Compact and Repair from within the database version that is giving you the trouble.

If you create a new blank database and import the table/query that is giving the problem, does it work under that scenario?

Here is something I found. I assume since you are also using Access 2003, that your file format is mdb, so this may link may not apply, but it does mention that 2007 may do a read only on some data under SP1 and that SP2 should fix that, so perhaps the issue is with the SP of the 2007 version?
