Unable to update form

Hi,

I have a data entry form that is based on four tables which are linked by a field 'fileno'.

I am now trying to enter new records via the form and update the four tables but i'm not permitted to do so. It seems that all the fields are locked for display only.

Can anyone help?

Hi...

Make sure the Allow Filters, Allow Edits, Allow Deletions, Allow Additions, are marked yes in the Forms Property Box.....(properteries>Data).. See if that works...I am still learning but I had this happen to me....

I checked and they're all set with the value 'yes'.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the Record Source?

It sounds like you have created a non-updateable query. Use Access help to find Troubleshooting Queries for some assistance. You could also try removing one table at a time to see where it becomes non-updateable.
