Hi
I have got into a pickle, by hiding the main database window on startup, and also disabling menus. Now, when i open my db, i only get my designated startup form, and nothing else. I cant unhide my main window because menus are disapled, likewise I cant access my startup options to show main window, again because menus are disabled.

Any suggestions (other than restoring from a backup)

Thanks (and, yes, I am a plonker!)

If you use VBA to hide main window, move the Access File to an unsafe location (not trusted) , for ex. Desktop.

Then open the file and do not enable vba.

This wont work if you had disabled security.

To enable toolbars when you dont have acces to options, right click QuickToolbar and chose more commands..., Options dialog is there.

Method 1:
Try pressing the F11 key once the database is open.

Method 2:

find the database file in using a file explorer (My computer).
single click the file
Press and hold the shift key, then press the enter key. Keep holding the shift key until your databse window opens up.

This should allow you to get into the settings to change the startup settings.
