Hi, How don't know how stupid my question is but i was wondering if it was possible to insert a form inside an other form without linking them???
The reason for this is that the 'inserted' form would work as a 'search' form and could display usefull information for the main form to be filled even though there is not really any fields that can be linked together. Is anybody got suggestion for this matter?

It is not manditory that SubForms be "linked" to the main form.

Well, the form i am trying to insert as a subform is a lookup form based on a query shown on the attached picture as 'The item in Stock query sheet'. Now, each time I am opening the 'allocation Status' form instead of being able to enter the parameter on the 'subform' I am being prompt to enter the parameter in an access message box.
Is there any way to make those forms independent from one other in the same way they would be if they were both opened at the same time?

The reference to the control on the form in the query must change when you use it as a subform. You have to go through the [Allocation Status] form to get to the [The item in Stock query sheet] controls. A GlobalVariable would probably work in this situation. The query would reference the GlobalVariable and not need to change. You would have to modify the AfterUpdate event of the TextBox to place it's value in the GlobalVariable. Here's a link you might find useful: http://www.mvps.org/access/forms/frm0031.htm
