update balance

I have three textboxes...

1.) p_principal
2.) p_balance
3.) p_payment

at first payment the balance would be p_balance=p_principal-p_payment...

How if the customer will pay again? how to update the formula to p_balance=p_balance-p_payment?

Initially, before the first payment is made

p_balance = p_principal

Then, after any payment is made

p_balance = p_balance - p_payment
