Update new query fields in a form

I am expanding a query to include more information and would like to include this new information in the form that is already built (i.e. I don't want to build a new form, only modify the existing). Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks.

Add new fields to query.

Form has query as Record Source.

Add new fields to form, setting Control Source to new query elements
using drop-down lists.

I ran the query but the field list does not update to reflect the new fields... how can I force it to update? Thanks.
