Update Query

Hi all,
i'm having a strange problem right now with an update query that I hope someone here can point out my error !
I am trying to run this in Access 2002 on a Win 2000 machine. I have pasted the SQL code below but everytime I run it I get the error mesage "Operation must use an updateable query" which does not make sense since the table is writable and the query is an update query.

UPDATE tblCurrent SET tblCurrent.DFL_TYP_CD = [DFL_TYP_CD] & [DLQ_DRN_TYP_CD]
WHERE (((tblCurrent.DFL_TYP_CD)="BK")) OR (((tblCurrent.DFL_TYP_CD)="FCL")) OR (((tblCurrent.DFL_TYP_CD)="REO"));


Can anyone please advise ?
