Update Query

Hi Guys

Not been here for a long while but would love some help. I am trying to update a table to show that a vehicle from a certain date belongs to someone else. I have been messing around with update queries but it ends up updating to the new owner for all past and present services, not just the ones after the date in the update query which I expressed in the criteria as >#22/11/11#. Can anyone tell me how to adjust it so that every service the vehicle has after that date it will show it against the new owner and all before against the previous owner. I hope you can understand the ramblings of a complete access novice.

I don't completely understand the "ramblings" Drew but can you show us the SQL statement of the UPDATE query that isn't working as expected?

Did you know that you can view the records it returns before updating it?

Open the query in Datasheet view and see what records are returned.
