Update text field in report from a form

Hi,
please can someone help with what I think should be quite basic but I cannot find the answer yet!

I have a report (a letter) which opens also with a form that has an unbound text box for adding free text (letter content) to the report. (unbound text field set to the forms text box control)
On another similar report the text updates in the letter because I am also applying another filter. And changes made to the free text are reflected in the report whenever I click the 'ok' button.

This report however has no filter, but I can get the text to go in the report the first time after entering it by doing .filter = on. But this only works once, and subsequent changes to the text box will not update to the report.
Repaint object does not seem to work either.

A report is "static" Once it has been Rendered you cannot update it. Repaint, and things like this will not work. You have to start a report of again from scratch.

But applying a filter will re-render the report meaning the amended form text field will be picked up.

Taking your '.filter = on' a bit further you could use something like

.Filter = "[Page]>=1"
.FilterOn = True
.FilterOn = False
