updating combo

hi, a user enters a word into a combo. a form opens to add the data of the item and is then closed.

the problem is, the item doesnt go straight to the combo and keeps being flagged as a new item.

i had it working just now butit has totally stopped so i have no idea.

any ideas appreciated.

Once the new item has been added to the table you will need to requery the Combo, until this happens the new item will not appear.

hi, yeah i tried that but it tells me that i have to save the record/field again.

At what point in the process are you forcing the requery?

The requery should take place after the form to add the new data has been closed.
