Updating Email address in Customer List

I need to keep a customer list and I need to update the email address of the existing customers in the customer list.

The customer list table called 'masterlist' and the table looks like this:

ID Phone CallerName ContactEmail
1 12345678 Emily Office <blank>
2 87654321 Emily Home <blank>
3 99536546 Emily Mobile <blank>
4 75293924 Jack <j.k@mail.com>

The table contains email address of some of the existing customers, I have the same fields in this table, the table called 'Newemail'.

ID Phone CallerName Contact Email
1 12345678 Emily Office c1@mail.com
2 87654321 Emily Home <blank>
3 99536546 Emily Mobile e1@mail.com
4 78954648 Jenny <blank>
5 45454854 Derek <blank>
6 45484542 Kelvin k1@mail.com

How I can insert the email address from 'Newemail' into my existing customer list 'masterlist' i.e. contact email of ID 1 and 3 ? I would like to ignore ID 4-5 from the 'Newemail' table. And I would like to keep ID 4 from the 'masterlist' table.

Create an update query, join the tables using Phone and CallerName.

In criteria under Contact Email enter =""

I think that should work

How do you use that example in a LIKE parameter for criteria. For instance if the letters HP are found in another field in table like HP Services, automatically put in VendNum from Vendor table into that table???

Join on VendorName, put your criteria in under VendorName?
