Updating SubForm Fields from Main Form Fields

Hey Everyone,

I am stuck trying to figure out this problem. I have a main form "frm_tirelog_600" which has 4 combo boxes "cboleg",
"cbocar", "cbopos", "cboserial" on it. The first 3 combo boxes are used as criteria on 1 of 3 subforms that I have.
The fourth combo box "cboserial" is used for the criteria in a query on another subform that I have called "frm_mount_600_subform",
which is independant from the main form, I hope I have explained that clearly enough. What I need to be able to do is
have the subform fill in 3 of the fields on it "leg", "car", "pos" with the value from the 3 combo boxes on my main form. I
can get it to show in the fields but not write to the table. I have searched the forum and have not been able to locate anything
that would work and really need any assistance with this. Im not real strong in the coding department which is where I
beleive this could be done.



I have attached a copy of my DB which I hope will better explain it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't see how you are opening the frm_mount_600_subform form. It would make sense that it open from the frm_tirelog_600 form since it needs to be open to get the values anyway.

Yes it opens inside the main form " frm_tirelog_600 "

Let me make sure I understand your requirement. When you select a serial number of a tire and the frm_mount_600_subform moves to that record, you want the values from the ComboBoxes on the main form to replace the values in this serial numbers record similar to what I've done in this revision of your db?

Yes That was it exactly you are a life saver. I have been beating my head against the wall on this form. If you dont mind I have one more thing on this form I have to figure out, if you could help with it to I would forever be thankful. On the "frm_dismount_600 subform" I need help with a form that will pop-up based on a value that is in a field on my sub form. Basiclly what I have is 3 fields that I am working with. The first is the "mile" field which has the milage at the start, my second field is the "dismount_mile" which will have the milage when it is removed. My third field "Text12" is a calculated field which does nothing more then take the
"dismount_mile" and subtract the "mile" value to get the difference. ( which is working ). What I need to do is if the value in my calculated field is less then 100000 then I need a form "frm_reason" to pop up and ask the user for additional information. I have tried several codes but none of them or working right.
